Tonight one of our staff members brought this 1987 Nuits Saint Georges Burgundy in to taste and share. While at first very frail, old, and virtually undrinkable, after half an hour in the glass, it complimented the meal quite nicely. It is unquestionably past its maturity (by about 10-15 years) but it improved the longer it sat in the glass. This 1987 Burgundy does not taste of full flowery fruit, it is rather mild, but still tasty, and considering its age, still a good food wine. We enjoyed this Burgundy along with the Halibut.
